Bates College ‘29, Psychology
Sophia Lucille Rubel
​Sophia Rubel attends Bates College, where she majors in psychology and minors in education. Deeply passionate about youth mental health, she has co-chaired Find Your Way, a youth-led mental health initiative through the Marin County Board of Supervisors, and led overdose prevention efforts with OD Free Marin, organizing trainings and community outreach. Through these experiences, Sophia has developed leadership, research, and advocacy skills while supporting young people in her community. She hopes to pursue a master’s degree and become a child psychologist, dedicated to helping children and families navigate challenges and build resilience.

University of Southern California '29, Human Biology
Alicia Tam
Alicia Tam is currently studying at Pasadena City College and will attend the University of Southern California, majoring in Human Biology. Growing up in a single-mother household, she developed resilience and compassion, shaping her commitment to patient care and medical research. Alicia has volunteered extensively, assisting physical therapy patients, leading outreach events at the Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children, and conducting biomedical research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and City of Hope. She has held leadership roles in her school’s medical club and band, managing programs and mentoring peers. Alicia aspires to pursue an MD/PhD in chronic illness, integrating clinical care and research to improve pediatric and family health
